The Chameleon VR Holster 3D Printable for Metaquest and Oculus
This has been over a year in the works as a follow up to my original Metaquest 2 VR holster as a simpler option that allows for more comfort and the ability to swing arms like when playing games featuring gorillas that have no legs.
Finally, a place to rest your hands during VR gaming and art sessions and a functional desk organizer for your controllers that is sure to catch everyone's eye!
The Chameleon VR Holster fits any generation of Oculus/Metaquest controllers including the Oculus Rift CV1 up to the Metaquest 3, hence the name, The Chameleon.
Simply slide the controllers, bottom first into the eye holes of the holster and BAM!
You can wash the dishes, take out the trash, cook a 5 course meal, or lift those dumbbells collecting dust in the corner!
The holster features 2 optional tongues which should be printed in TPU, a softer, squishy filament, which can hold your smartphone and is easy to insert and remove.
Easily, slide any belt through the holster's backside rectangular loops to secure it to the front of your waist.

The holster should be printed with the bottom flat on the build plate, the tongues should be printed on their flatter side.
Simple line supports should be fine.
REMEMBER: Printing TPU is a different material and needs to be printed SLOWER than PLA and you may need to raise your nozzle at least 0.01mm higher for a successful print.
Your choice of infill and the infill % will determine how easy the tongues will be to attach to the holster, how well your smartphone will fit and how well the tongues will grip it.
Remove the tongues and pop in a bag of your favorite chips!

***Successfully printed on a factory stock Elegoo Neptune 3 with similar settings:
PLA HOLSTER SETTINGS
Nozzle temp: 215-220°C
Nozzle size: 0.4mm
Layer height: 0.3
Wall thickness: 2mm
Bottom thickness: 1.2mm
Infill density: 10-15%
Infill: Gyroid
Top/Bottom thickness: 2mm
Print speed: 40-60mm/s (40 highly recommended)
Initial layer line width: 108% (slightly more than 100% gives me good adhesion and lines for a better looking bottom)
Initial layer speed: 10mm/s
Supports: Normal,Tree
Overhang: 50°
Support Pattern: Lines, Grid
Adhesion: Draft Shield 1-2mm away from print and at least 10mm in height, Brim optional 1-3mm
*Strong strength glue stick like "UHU stic" applied to build plate highly recommended!

TONGUE TPU SETTINGS:
Remember! You may need to add at least .01mm to your nozzle's Z height to allow the TPU to print successfully
Nozzle temp: 215-230°C
Nozzle size: 0.4mm
Layer height: 0.3
Wall thickness: 2mm
Bottom thickness: 1.2mm
Infill density: 5%
Infill: Gyroid
Top/Bottom thickness: 2mm
Print speed: 20-40mm/s (40 recommended)
Initial layer line width: 108% (slightly more than 100% gives me good adhesion and lines for a better looking bottom)
Initial layer speed: 10mm/s
Supports: Normal
Overhang: 70°
Support Pattern: Lines, Grid
Adhesion: Draft Shield 1-2mm away from print and at least 4mm in height
